MEET YOUR STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS WITH AN ENERGY INSPECTION
Building owners and managers who control air conditioning systems have statutory obligations and duties of care in the operation and maintenance of air conditioning systems. The inspections are in addition to the normal activities associated with the ownership and operation of air conditioning systems.
In England and Wales the European Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD) requires air conditioning inspections to be carried out on all systems as follows.
Since January 2011, all air conditioning systems over 12kW must have been inspected to avoid a financial penalty being levied on the operator or business owner by local trading standards officers. With fines of between £300 and £5000, dependant on building size, it is now more important than ever to ensure you comply and have your air conditioning report carried out.
Having your air conditioning system inspected by an accredited Energy Assessor can improve efficiency and reduce electricity consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions. Energy inspections can highlight improvements to the operation of your existing systems or opportunities to replace older, less energy efficient systems or oversized systems with new energy efficient systems.
